About the PCA
The Platteville Community Arboretum (PCA), established in 2004, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with over 150 members. Its mission is to connect the Platteville community to the Rountree Branch corridor, through recreation, conservation, and environmental education.
In the early 1990s, David Canny envisioned a trail that connected Platteville from west to east and created a corridor from which the people of Platteville could enjoy the natural world. Today this trail is our reality.
The Platteville Community Arboretum is part of Platteville's more than 10 miles of trails and nearly 200 acres of public open space. In Fall 2018, the Platteville trail system was connected to trails across the state and takes users to Governor Dodge State Park, New Glarus and Madison, Wisconsin; Freeport, Illinois and beyond.
The Platteville Community Arboretum maintains and manages over four miles of the trail network and adjacent arboretum. The PCA is funded through donations and run by volunteers, thus your contribution has a big impact.
